Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year. I am excited to embark upon my sixth year as the Assistant Principal (Grades 1-3) of Daniel Pratt Elementary.
Education
I received my Bachelor and Masters Degrees from Alabama State University. I received my Education Specialist Degree from the University of West Alabama. My educational career consists of 5 years in the Dallas County School System and 13 years in the Autauga County School System as an English teacher. This is my 24th year as an educator.
Goal
My goal is to provide the leadership that will facilitate a positive and productive learning environment for ALL children to receive the highest quality of academic instruction. Elementary school years are the building blocks that set the foundation for a lifetime of learning.
Family
On a personal note, I am blessed with a wonderful blended family. My husband, James, and I have been married for fifteen years. We have two sons. My step-son, Courtney, works for the Birmingham Fire Department. Aiden is a freshmen at PHS. Go Lions!
