I am honored to be the principal at Daniel Pratt Elementary School. This school has a wonderful history of excellence. We strive towards maintaining this standard of excellence through hard work, quality instruction, and providing resources that help all of our students achieve success.


Personal Mission Statement: I want my life to reflect God and not myself. My mission is to serve and help people in any way that I can. It is my hope that my work will have a lasting impact for the advancement of others.

I have also taken additional master's level classes in the areas of reading and mathematics, gone through the Huntsville Space and Rocket training for teachers, I was an Alabama Reading Initiative Presenter, and I have been part of many other workshops as a presenter and participant.



I am blessed to have a wonderful family. My husband, David, is recently retired from International Paper. My step-son Dave and his wife Leslie live in Altoona, Alabama. Dave owns his own business in the poultry industry. They have two beautiful children, Emma Grace and Kade. My other step-son Lane and his wife Shanna live in Randolph, Alabama. Lane works for Alagasco. They have two beautiful daughters, Lilyann and Laykin. My daughter Brittany lives in Birmingham, Alabama.  She works at Lifeline Children's Services as their Event Coordinator.  My other daughter Hannah and her husband Michael live in Birmingham as well.  Michael is a pharmacist and Hannah is a teacher at Briarwood Christian School. They have a beautiful baby boy.  His name is Jack.
