 A few friendly reminders... 

~Monday, May 20th: MATH BOOKS!!!! Bring your math textbook that was assigned at the beginning of the year! 

~Tuesday, May 21st:  Awards Day 8:15 in the lunchroom

~Every Tuesday- Dippin' Dots will be sold on Tuesdays in the Lunchroom - $2

~APT- APT dues are being collected - $5 per family...the class that turns in the most APT parent forms/money will receive an ice cream party from Frios!!! 

~FACEBOOK- Follow the DPES Facebook page for announcements and updates

~Box-Tops needed-Our class collects Box Tops, and we would absolutely LOVE it if you could collect them and send them to school!  You can find them on lots of packages....everything from school supplies to taco shells! Each regular Box Top clipping worth 10 cents, and those can add up quickly if we can all turn them in! :) 

~BrainPop Jr.- Students may now access BrainpopJr from home! Username:dpes123, password: eagles  This is a great resource to review skills that have been previously taught at school, and the kids LOVE IT!!!

HOMEWORK...  

Monday-Thursday: Study 0-10 Multiplication Facts

REFLEX MATH...Practice your facts on Reflex until you get to the green light 3 times

~Reflex Math login information:

  • The class name is Pasley's Math Class
  • Your password is your S number.  This number is listed on your password card on the back of your binder. (Don't forget to capitalize the S in your password!)

Every Thursday:   Our classes will complete a Daily Math Review and Daily Language Review each day. After completing the reviews, we will discuss each problem and give the students ample time to correct their answers. On Thursdays, these will be placed in the homework section of their binders. Students will need to review this as their homework to prepare for the DMR and DLR quizzes each Friday. Since it is just a guide for review, we ask that a parent sign each paper after reviewing. The students need to place the DMR and DLR in their homework section to return the next day. Before taking the quizzes these review sheets will be collected and the students will receive HOT punches! However, if the DMR and DLR come back to school without a signature, the students will fill out a no homework note that will be sent in Tuesday folders. Thanks for taking the time to review these sheets as they are ongoing skills taught throughout the year.

2019-2020 Supply List

 

 

Supplies on the first day of school can be a handful, so please bring the following items UNLABELED to orientation. This will allow us to organize supplies and prepare for the first day of school. Most supplies will be used by both classes and shared throughout the school year. 

 

  • 1 box of 24 count Crayola crayons
  • 1 box of 10 count Crayola washable markers
  • 9 jumbo glue sticks
  • 1 pack of red pens
  • A pack of #2 pre-sharpened pencils (not mechanical)
  • 1 pair of scissors (child size)
  • 1 pack of wide-ruled notebook paper
  • 2 dry erase markers
  • 1 pack of cap erasers
  • 3x5 index cards
  • 1 box of tissues
  • 1 large bottle of hand sanitizer
  • 2 rolls of paper towels
  • 1 pack of bright colored copy paper
  • 3 or 4 reams of white copy paper (any brand except Up & Up (Target) please)
  • 2 containers of Clorox Wipes
  • 1 box of sandwich ziploc bags
  • (not required, but very much needed) $$$ Classroom Donation to be used to purchase copies ($11.00= 1,000 copies)

 

 

The following items need to be sent on the first day of school.  We will help your child organize his/her binder to have a successful year!!! 

 

·DPES Assignment book – may be purchased from the DPES Supply Store for $5.00 (It is vitally important that your child purchases this specific book!) 

 

·Book bag 

 

· 1.5 inch white 3 ring binder with clear insert cover 

 

· 1 supply pouch-soft, zippered (please insert into binder prongs) 

 

  

 

Wish List 

 

We would appreciate any extra help from parents. You are not required to bring these items, but they will be needed throughout the year. We understand that supplies are costly at the beginning of the year, so any donations throughout the year will be appreciated. Thank you for all your help and support. We couldn’t do it without wonderful parents!
