PRINCIPAL'S WELCOME

             I would like to welcome you to Daniel Pratt Elementary School. I am very excited about what is in store for you and your child/children during the 2009/2010 school year. I know this might be a transition year for our first grade students/new students and just another year for our other students, but we want it to be a memorable year for all of our students.

I would like for you to take a few minutes and go through this handbook to understand the procedures and guidelines we have in place at DPES. In addition to the contents in this handbook, we also have the Student Code of Conduct, which is provided for each student enrolled in each Autauga County School. In addition to the Code of Conduct, we have the Autauga County Public Schools Board Policy Manual, which provides more in-depth information not covered in the school's handbook or the Student Code of Conduct. This manual is accessible in each school's office, school's library and in the Central Office and may be reviewed at these locations.

I look forward to meeting you and having the opportunity to be an influential part of your child's/children's life. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. My door will always be open to the parents and students of DPES.
